PHLConnectED is the City's initiative to help pre-K-12 families access free or low-cost internet.

How does PHLConnectED help families?  

Families can get one-on-one support with a PHLConnectED Digital Navigator for: 

  • a review of the free or low-cost internet options  including PHLConnectED T-Mobile hotspots for eligible pre-K-12 households 
  • support with accessing and using technology. 
  • Access to other digital skills classes and resources available across Philadelphia. 

Who can get Connected through PHLConnectED? 

  • Pre-K-12 student households enrolled in a Philadelphia school 
  • Pre-K-12 households that do not have wired, in-home internet access, can only access the internet through a mobile phone, or cannot get wired access to their home 
  • Pre-K-12 household experiencing homelessness or in between housing 
  • Pre-K-12 households who participate in certain public benefit programs with income qualifications 
  • Pre-K-12 households who have students who are English learners or are receiving special education services

Get help with technology and internet access

For help getting affordable internet access or determining if you are eligible for PHLConnectED, dial 2-1-1 and set up an appointment with one of the City’s Digital Navigators. The hotline operates 24/7 and is available in 150 languages. Press 8 for language services.
