Board of Pensions notice on solicitation emails
Several third-party companies are sending emails to pension plan members, soliciting business with the premise of reviewing members’ pension plans for strategic priorities. These third-party companies are not associated with the Philadelphia Board of Pensions & Retirement. If you receive one of these emails, you may ignore or delete it. You can also report these emails using the “report phishing” button in Microsoft Outlook and they will be blocked as needed.

We are preparing to adopt the 2021 I-Codes
Philadelphia is preparing to adopt the 2021 I-Codes, with state and local modifications, effective July 2025. Starting January 2026, all new permit applications must comply with these updated codes. Please review the forms and documents on the website to prepare for the transition.
Stay tuned for more information on the transition process, including adopting ordinances, proposed changes, and upcoming information sessions.

Seasonal Celebrations at Sesame Place

- Hanukkah Celebration: Celebrate the festival of lights with the Sesame Street crew. Light the Menorah and learn about the holiday with Baby Bear, play a game of dreidel, make a Hanukkah-inspired craft, and dance along to all your favorite holiday songs at the Furry Friends Dance Party (December 26, 2024 to January 1, 2025).
- Kwanzaa Celebration: The seven principles of Kwanzaa come to life on Sesame Street. Light the Kinara, learn about the holiday during a special storytime, and enjoy a special performance by the Universal African Dance and Drum ensemble during (December 26, 2024 to January 1, 2025).

Each year, Winter at Dilworth Park brings a touch of festive greenery to the Greenfield Lawn on the west apron of City Hall with the annual Wintergarden display. The picturesque whimsical outdoor sanctuary features rustic woodland décor, an on-site winery kiosk offering mulled wine, reindeer topiaries and illuminated arbor lit with hundreds of twinkling lights for visitors to stroll through or relax by on one of a number of benches.
