Bajeti shirikishi (PB) ni mchakato wa kidemokrasia ambapo wakazi hutoa mawazo na kupiga kura juu ya jinsi ya kutumia fedha za umma. Inawapa wakazi nguvu halisi juu ya pesa halisi.

$1 milioni kwa ajili ya bajeti shirikishi

Bajeti shirikishi katika Jiji la Philadelphia inaongozwa na Ofisi ya Bajeti kwa kushirikiana na Tume ya Mipango ya Jiji. Wakati wa mchakato wa PB, watu wa Philadelphians hutoa maoni kwa uwekezaji wa miundombinu na kupiga kura moja kwa moja juu ya jinsi ya kutumia dola milioni 1 kwenye miradi ya mitaji.

Bajeti shirikishi inahusisha mzunguko wa ushiriki ambao umejumuishwa na mchakato wa bajeti ya kawaida. Inasababisha athari anuwai za nguvu, za kudumu katika jamii:

  • Matumizi ya usawa na ufanisi zaidi.
  • Ushiriki mpana wa kisiasa, haswa kutoka kwa jamii zilizotengwa kihistoria.
  • Uhusiano thabiti kati ya wakaazi, serikali, na mashirika ya jamii.
  • Viongozi wapya wa jamii.
  • Kuongezeka kwa ushiriki wa raia.

Design the process

The Re-Imagine Philadelphia Steering Committee, whose members represent the community, creates the rules and engagement plan.

Brainstorm ideas

Community members share and discuss ideas for capital projects through meetings and online tools 

Capital projects are investments in the City’s physical and technology infrastructure, community facilities, and public buildings. Examples include a recreation center roof repair or water fountain installation. Capital funds are used to buy, build, or improve these City assets.

Capital projects must have a useful life of over five years and cost $15,000 or more.

Develop proposals

Volunteer budget delegates develop community ideas into feasible projects.

Vote

Community members vote on the proposals that best serve the community’s needs.

Fund winning projects

The City funds and implements the winning ideas.
