Celebrate the winter holidays with safe and festive events, including the virtual City Holiday Tree Lighting.
While the holidays will look different this year, you can still marvel at the sights, sounds, and unique flavors of Philadelphia. Holiday events and activities are happening throughout the city, with new health and safety regulations in place to help you create magical winter memories in the City of Brotherly Love.
From river to river, Philly is home for the holidays. Don’t forget your scarves, hats, and masks!
The Philly Holiday Experience brings fun, safe, and family-friendly holiday celebrations to residents and visitors alike.
This event is presented by Independence Blue Cross. While enjoying holiday activities, please respect social distancing guidelines and always include your mask when you bundle up.
The Christmas Village returns for a 13th season and transforms LOVE Park into an authentic open-air German Christmas market. To create a safe environment, we’ve modified the Christmas Village layout to allow social distancing. Vendors will be at least 10 feet apart and the food and shopping areas will be separated.
The City Hall courtyard will also host Christmas Village vendors, as well as the courtyard carousel.
In honor of the multicultural celebrations that are part of Philadelphia’s holiday season, the iconic houses of Boathouse Row will light up for:
Hanukkah: Dec. 10–Dec. 17
Christmas: Dec. 19–Dec. 25
Kwanzaa: Dec. 26–Jan. 1
Philadelphia honors diversity and celebrates the season with all of our city’s residents.
