ReadyPhiladelphia
ReadyPhiladelphia is the region’s emergency alert system. There are two ways to register for notifications.
Text ReadyPhila to 888-777
Sign up for emergency and severe weather alerts by texting ReadyPhila to 888-777. The alerts are free, but your wireless provider may charge for text messaging.
Sign up and manage your preferences online
You can sign up for alerts on the ReadyPhiladelphia website. Most alerts are available in eleven languages: English, French, Arabic, Russian, Spanish, Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Swahili, and American Sign Language. In addition to emergency and severe weather alerts, you can sign up to get notified about:
- Transit issues.
- Special events.
- Sirens from Philadelphia prisons.
You can also choose how you receive alerts. You can get notifications through:
- Email.
- Text.
- Voicemail.
- Push notifications through the Everbridge app. Android users can get the app on Google Play. Apple users can download the app on the App Store.
You can get alerts for up to five specific locations in Philadelphia. For example, sign up to get alerts for emergencies near your home, work, and school addresses.
You can unsubscribe from alerts by updating your account information.
