Service overview
You need a Curb Market License to sell goods from a non-permanent structure on the curb in the South 9th Street Curb Market, also known as the Italian Market. The Department of Licenses and Inspections (L&I) issues this license.
Vacant curb market spaces are issued by the local business association. Contact the business association for more information.

Your application must include:
- Your contact information and billing address.
- Two photographs of yourself. These pictures must be passport quality and between 2 and 3 sq. in.

Offices close at noon on the last Wednesday of each month.
Cost
A non-refundable application fee of $20 is applied toward the license fee. The balance of the license fee is due once your application is approved.
If you renew your license more than 60 days after the due date, you will be charged 1.5% of the license fee for each month since the license expired.

Renewal requirements
This license must be renewed annually. You can renew online through eCLIPSE or in person at the Permit and License Center.
To renew your license, you must:
- Be current on all City taxes.
- Have a current health approval from the Philadelphia Department of Public Health (if you sell food).
