Get adult vaccines

Getting vaccinated (immunized) is the best way to protect yourself and your loved ones from dangerous diseases. You can get the shots you need even if you don’t have health insurance.

Vaccines are recommended for adults based on age, health conditions, job, and other factors. You can use the Adult Vaccine Assessment Tool (CDC) to find out which vaccines you need.

Looking for a measles vaccine?

The measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine is your best protection against measles — and Philadelphia residents can get it for free at any City health center! Contact our call center at (215) 685-2933 to make an appointment.

If you're insured

If you have health insurance, the best way to get vaccinated is to make an appointment with your doctor. Some vaccines are also available at pharmacies. Call ahead to check that they have the vaccines you need. Ask if they’ll be covered by your insurance.

If you're uninsured

If you don’t have health insurance, you can get vaccinated at a City health center or a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Call ahead to make an appointment. Ask if you’ll need ID or proof of residency to get vaccinated. These centers can also help you apply for affordable health insurance.
