Tobacco Policy and Control Program
Working to reduce smoking rates and expand smoke-free environments in Philadelphia.

About
Our Tobacco Policy and Control Program is part of the Health Department's Division of Chronic Disease & Injury Prevention. We work with our partners to reduce adult and youth smoking by:
- Enforcing policies that restrict smoking and who can buy tobacco products.
- Helping Philadelphians who use tobacco quit.
- Preventing youth from starting tobacco and vaping product use.
- Promoting tobacco and vape-free policies in public spaces.
- Collecting and responding to data on adult and youth tobacco use.
- Launching mass media campaigns to educate the public about tobacco use.
- Exploring policy-level solutions to reducing tobacco use.
