About

Rain or shine, crossing guards promote the safety of students walking to and from school. They contribute to the success of Philadelphia students and are important to school communities.

Schools serving grades K-5 can request crossing guards for intersections within two blocks of the school. Hiring for school crossing guards takes place throughout the year.

To give positive feedback about your neighborhood crossing guard or report absences or other concerns, call 311.
