Forum will explore German model for apprenticeships & on-the-job training
WHAT:
The City of Philadelphia’s Department of Commerce, Citizen Diplomacy International of Philadelphia (CDI), and Philadelphia Works will host the Northeast Manufacturers Employer Forum along with a Sister City delegation from Frankfurt, Germany to discuss meeting workforce development needs of employers through apprenticeship models that strengthen career pathways. Local manufacturing employers will be present to learn about and discuss the forum’s theme – “Lessons from Germany: Understanding apprenticeships and on-the-job training models for employers in manufacturing.”
