12:10 PM Mayor Kenney to Deliver Opening Remarks at National League of Cities Mayors’ Institute on Community Schools
Mayor Kenney will join the National League of Cities in hosting a Mayors’ Institute on Advancing Education and Health through a Community Schools Strategy. Six mayors and their teams will convene in Philadelphia from May 2-4 for an intensive problem-solving session. To date, nine local schools have received community school designation by the City of Philadelphia and this initiative is funded by the Philadelphia Beverage Tax.
