9:15 AM Mayor Kenney Speaks with Elementary School Students for Law Week
The Mayor will address 300 Elementary school students about the importance of the legal system, reporting for jury duty and learning how the legal system works before a trial begins as the students prepare to participate in scripted mock trials featuring familiar fairy tale characters in order to familiarize them with the court system. The event is part of Law Week 2016 which is coordinated by the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division.

2:00 PM Mayor Kenney to Meet with West Philadelphia Action for Early Learning’s Alliance of Childcare Providers
The Mayor will meet with representatives from 19 early childhood education centers that are members of West Philadelphia Action for Early Learning’s Alliance of Childcare Providers. This Drexel University-led collaboration of social service agencies, education organizations, and community stakeholders work to create an education support system for students and families in the 19104 zip code, specifically in the West Philadelphia Promise Zone.

5:30 PM Get HYPE Philly! First Annual Year-End Celebration
Mayor Kenney will attend this first year end celebration for Get HYPE Philly!, a citywide youth wellness initiative led by some of Philadelphia’s most innovative nonprofits.

7:00 PM PCDC 50^th Anniversary
Mayor Kenney will address the crowd at the 50^th anniversary celebration of the Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation.
