Quality pre-K programs are good for kids, their families, and Philadelphia’s future.

Every year, five-year-olds transition from pre-K to kindergarten, and pre-K seats open up for three- and four-year-olds. The School District of Philadelphia’s Office of Early Childhood Education is enrolling now for next school year.

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Children must be at least 3 years old on or before September 1, 2016, and not be age-eligible for kindergarten.
  • Families must meet Head Start or Pre-K Counts income guidelines.
  • Children and parents/legal guardians must be residents of Philadelphia, Pa.

Don’t delay – apply early for September 2016!

In addition to the School District’s pre-K program, the Mayor’s Office of Education works with many local quality pre-K providers to find locations throughout Philadelphia with available seats. Limited seats may be available at the following providers:
