Philadelphia is known as a sports city, and our love of athletics isn’t exclusive to the teams that play down at the South Philly stadium – we’re also home to some of the best road races in the nation! This fall, you can be a part of one of the Top 10 marathons in the United States, the Philadelphia Marathon. Race Weekend 2016 (November 18-20) features the Philadelphia Marathon, Half Marathon and Rothman Institute 8K.

Under the new partnership between the Office of City Representative and Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, the updated courses allow for faster times for full marathoners and a scenic but challenging route for half marathoners by splitting the marathon into two days. Half marathoners can feel like a champ while running through Boxer’s Trail where Joe Frazier trained and end the race like Rocky in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Full marathoners have the chance to explore 26.2 miles of the city, passing through Historic Philadelphia, Center City, Fairmount Park and more before their big finish in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Don’t miss your chance to get in on the action – register today!
