To help the public and members of the media stay informed about parking, road closures, expected demonstrations, and various DNC-related events, we’ve compiled an online media kit for the Democratic National Convention.
The kit is the result of cooperation and partnership with the Philadelphia 2016 Host Committee, Visit Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau as well as various city, state, and federal agencies together with the City of Philadelphia.
Information about the Joint Information Center (JIC) is in the media kit, too.
Throughout the convention, the JIC functions as the first point-of-contact for journalists; any media with questions regarding the convention may contact the JIC now through the end of the convention. We encourage reporters to visit the Philadelphia Media Resource Center in person at WFC Media Pavilion #906.
Along with the media kit, we’ll continue to update our list of planned permitted demonstrations and our official DNC site, which features an FAQ page and current information on road closures, weather, and more. We also encourage journalists, visitors, and residents to utilize our many digital tools to stay informed before, during, and after the convention as well as sign up for free ReadyPhiladelphia text alerts.
