Compared to similar U.S. cities, Philadelphia has a higher number of pedestrian fatalities per resident. The following study analyzed crash data to better understand pedestrian crashes and actions to prevent them. The analysis determined the highest priority locations for the City and partner agencies to take action for pedestrian safety.

The plan was developed by the Office of Transportation, Infrastructure, and Sustainability with input from a number of City and partner agencies.
