The Mayor’s Task Force on Eviction Prevention and Response was established in September 2017. The task force consisted of 22 appointed members with expertise in housing and landlord-tenant issues. This group assessed the Philadelphia eviction landscape and identified 17 recommendations in the following areas:
- Outreach and education
- Resources and supports
- Housing standards and enforcement
- Legal process and policies
The Health and Human Services cluster is an active partner in advancing the recommendations of the task force through the Philadelphia Eviction Prevention Project (PEPP).
