Americans with Disabilities Act Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan

To ensure access to all City services and programs, a self-evaluation was conducted to determine gaps in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Based on the self-evaluation, the City created an ADA Transition Plan focused on Title II of the ADA, which prohibits discrimination based on disability for state and local government services.

Members of the public had the opportunity to provide feedback on the draft ADA Transition Plan during a public comment period managed by the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities. The final plan reflects changes to address some of the feedback, and all public comments received were included in Appendix II of the ADA Transition Plan.
