59th Street Bridge replacement project

The 59th Street Bridge connects the Wynnefield and Overbrook neighborhoods in West Philadelphia. It crosses over Amtrak and SEPTA tracks, connecting Upland Way to Lancaster Avenue.

The Department of Streets will replace the bridge to:

  • Ensure public safety.
  • Meets the needs of all transportation users (motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists).
