1933 Philadelphia Zoning Ordinance

The City of Philadelphia introduced zoning in 1933 to regulate what could be built and where. This is the first of three codes since that time. The Philadelphia City Planning Commission (PCPC) maintains the current zoning code and creates zoning maps to implement the code.
