STONE MASON


GENERAL DEFINITION

This is full performance level stone mason work, performing construction and repair of masonry structures. Employees in this class use stone masonry tools and materials to repair or construct such structures as retaining walls, bridges, piers and foundations for park buildings. Work includes performing tasks in other masonry related fields. Work is performed under the general supervision of a trades or maintenance supervisor.

ALLOCATING FACTORS: (The following conditions must be met for a position to be approved for this class.)

  1. The position must be performing full performance level stone mason work in the construction and repair of masonry structures.
