ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINE TECHNICIAN GROUP LEADER


GENERAL DEFINITION

This is supervisory work directing a group of technicians and trades helpers engaged in the preparation, adjustment, maintenance and repair of electronic voting machines.

Employees in this class direct and may participate in the preparation of election materials and the programming, maintenance and technical set-up of electronic voting machines for all primary, general and special elections. Assignments are stable in nature and are carried out in accordance with standard electronic voting machine maintenance and repair practices and general election procedures. Ensuring the proper distribution of machines to designated polling sites and maintaining inventory of all electronic voting machine components are significant aspects of the work. An employee in this class participates in the city's voting machine maintenance and repair program. Work is performed under the supervision of a technical superior and requires light physical effort.
