COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL FIRE INSPECTOR II


GENERAL DEFINITION

This is full performance level field work inspecting commercial and industrial buildings for compliance with the fire prevention codes, ordinances, regulations, and standards. Employees in this class receive assignments to inspect the more complex sites. Interpreting pertinent sections of the applicable codes and ordinances to owners and representatives of firms to achieve compliance is of major significance to the work. Work is performed under the general supervision of a technical superior.
