METER READING SUPERVISOR II


GENERAL DEFINITION

This is second level supervisory work directing, through subordinate supervisors, a large staff of field employees engaged in reading water meters of residential and commercial accounts. An employee in this class is responsible for the water meter reading of two or more districts or the commercial account schedule on an assigned shift. Work involves maintaining meter reading schedules in the districts supervised and coordinating the addition of special reads and shutoff activities with scheduled route activity. Supervision of subordinate meter reading supervisors is a significant duty of the position. Work is performed under the supervision of the Meter Reading Operations Manager.
