CORRECTIONAL TRAINING ADMINISTRATOR


GENERAL DEFINITION

This is correctional staff development work administering a comprehensive training program for the City's prisons system. The employee in this class formulates educational and training programs for correctional employees and develops guidelines and goals designed to raise the level of awareness of employees in regard to inmate behavioral patterns, prison objectives, rules and regulations. Administering and evaluating the effectiveness of educational and training programs and ensuring that training programs are aligned with operational and regulatory requirements are of major significance to the work.

NOTE:

Completion of a master's degree program at an accredited college or university with major course work in an acceptable area of social sciences may be substituted for one year of the experience requirement.
