HEALTH SERVICES ANALYSIS DIRECTOR


GENERAL DEFINITION

This is public health administrative and analytical work developing, revising and directing the collection, classification, analysis and dissemination of statistical information describing the provision of city-wide health services and public health and vital statistics of the City population. The employee directs the operation of the Management Information and Billing System and the activities of a staff of statisticians, programmers, analysts, technical and clerical personnel. Conferring with Health Department program administrators to evaluate the existing information system, evaluate the information required to provide and to improve services, and to develop and revise information systems is of major significance to the work. The employee is supervised by a Deputy Health Commissioner.
