OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND LOSS CONTROL MANAGER


GENERAL DEFINITION

This is management level occupational safety work, directing the City's program of occupational safety and health, accident prevention and industrial hygiene. The employee in this class is the City's chief safety official. The position is responsible for creating, developing and/or articulating the City's central safety and health program and designing efforts to control risks of City operations to City workers and the public thereby minimizing the potential for claims and lawsuits. The employee reports to the Deputy Finance Director - Risk Management.
