                                                  FLEET STORES SUPERVISOR

 

GENERAL DEFINITION

 

            This is first supervisory level automotive stores work. Employees in this class may supervise clerical and/or stores personnel including responsibility for planning, assigning, and reviewing the work of one or a group of stores employees engaged in all phases of storeroom activities.  An employee in this class may perform inventory control and supply distribution work with the responsibility for maintenance of perpetual inventory records, personal property inventory records, and may involve the review and processing of requisitions for the Office of Fleet Management.  An employee in this class performs and assigns various phases of the receipt, storage, distribution, and recordkeeping activities for automotive parts supply items. Work is performed under the general supervision of Fleet Stores Manager.

 

ALLOCATING FACTORS:  (The following conditions must be met for a position to be allocated to this class.)

 

·        Positions must be located in the Office of Fleet Management

·        Positions must supervise Fleet Stores Workers or must perform inventory control and supply distribution work for the Office of Fleet Management

Or any equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable by the Office of Human Resources that has included the specific experience as indicated above.

 

NOTE:  The specific experience must have been obtained within five years prior to examination.

 

NOTE:  Current certification by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) in the automotive parts specialty area may be substituted for the general experience requirement.
