
Sharlene Waller is the Executive Director of the Mayor’s Commission on Aging. She was appointed on April 15, 2024, by the Honorable Cherelle L. Parker.
Waller is a graduate of Chestnut Hill College, a wife to Richard A. Waller, III, and a mother of two daughters. She is passionate about ensuring that the voices of older adults are heard and understood and works diligently each day to bring a strong quality of life to the individuals she serves.
Waller worked for the Pennsylvania House of Representative Democratic Caucus from 2016 to 2024. She served first as Chief of Staff for the retired Isabella Fitzgerald and then for State Representative Anthony Bellmon of the 203rd Legislative District. Before joining the legislature, she served for 27 years at the West Oak Lane Older Adult Center, working to ensure older adults continued to thrive, providing practical tools and resources to help them stay healthy and independent.
Currently, Sharlene Waller is working on Building a Friendly Philadelphia and aims to align seniors with One Philly: Cleaner, Greener with Access to Economic Opportunity.
