We are proud to share the release of the Office of the Youth Ombudsperson’s (OYO) 2024 Annual Report, which highlights a full year of progress, learning, and advocacy since our 2023 Year in Review. Building on the momentum of our foundational months, 2024 marked a year of deeper engagement with youth in placement, stronger systems accountability, and a continued commitment to centering the voices and experiences of young people across Philadelphia. 

Over the past year, the OYO began programming for youth in placements, strengthened relationships with community partners and system stakeholders, and launched a new language access plan. We’ve also continued to publish blog posts and issue briefs, improve our internal case practices, and develop data management protocols. Our 2024 Annual Report reflects on this work and outlines our goals for 2025.
