Spring Fest

Join us in the Garden for our free annual celebration of spring! Spring Fest this year will focus on the many stories held in and sustained by our connection to the land. The Garden’s annual plant sale, face painting, volunteer-powered tree planting, family fun, and more! Learn more details.

Earth Day

Join us for a full day of family-friendly activities and community connection. Enjoy games with the Philly Goat Project, take part in a volunteer activity, and explore creative leaf printing with S(tree)twork. Each month, youth will explore a different natural science topic through interactive, hands-on learning and a variety of educational tools. April is all about nature + technology. Participants will learn how to use popular nature apps while still staying engaged with the outdoors in real time. Celebrate Arbor Day

Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, in collaboration with SEAMAAC and Friends of Mifflin Square Park, invites you to celebrate Arbor Day 2025. As part of the park’s community-led “Making Room for Everyone” revitalization effort, this event highlights the importance of trees and green spaces in creating a more inclusive, welcoming South Philadelphia. The celebration will include the city’s 49th consecutive Tree City USA proclamation, a tree planting ceremony, eco-friendly activities, and conversations on urban forestry and sustainability. See more details online. 

Sheep Shearing Day
