PHILADELPHIA, PA— Starting January 24, 2025, the City of Philadelphia, Department of Licenses and Inspections is making it easier for citizens and stakeholders to resolve violations by including QR codes in all Notice of Violations. The QR code will direct recipients to a dedicated section of the City’s website, providing tailored instructions on how to address the specific violation.
This new feature aims to streamline the resolution process by offering clear, step-by-step guidance on how to correct the most common violation types. As part of the City’s commitment to improving access to information, the website section will be continuously updated with new content and instructions as needed.
Once scanned, the QR code will take users directly to the Violation Resolution page where they can find comprehensive details on how to correct the violation. This page is available in over 120 languages, ensuring accessibility for a diverse community.
“We’re excited to roll out this new initiative that not only provides clear instructions but also makes the process more accessible to everyone,” said Basil Merenda, Inspections, Safety and Compliance Commissioner. “We are committed to making it easier for citizens and stakeholders to resolve violations quickly and efficiently, and this new feature will help us achieve that goal.”
Modified violation notices featuring the QR code will be distributed starting January 24, 2025.
