PHILADELPHIA — Mayor Cherelle L. Parker announced today that Amy Eusebio, Executive Director of the Office of Immigrant Affairs (OIA), will leave her position in City government, effective Friday, January 24, 2025. Eusebio, a well-respected leader in the immigrant community, has served as Executive Director since 2019.
Eusebio joined the City of Philadelphia in 2018 as Municipal ID Program Director.
She has more than 15 years of experience working in non-profit social services. Eusebio’s previous roles included a focus on ensuring the programs she was part of were culturally responsive to the immigrant communities they were intended to serve.
“I thank Amy for her service to our City and especially for her service to the immigrant community,” said Mayor Cherelle L. Parker. “Amy has worked diligently to make sure Philadelphia is a welcoming place to people from all walks of life.”
Eusebio has worked closely with the Mayor’s Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs and the Mayor’s Commission on African and Caribbean Immigrant Affairs to grow their impact and services in Philadelphia.
“As a black Latina, daughter of Dominican immigrants, leading the launch of the PHL City ID program and leading the Philadelphia Office of Immigrant Affairs for the last five years has been an incredible honor,” said Amy Eusebio. “I am grateful to the mayor for appointing me to this role, and the many local, state and national partners I’ve had the pleasure of working with to advance immigrant inclusion and visibility since 2019.”
The Parker Administration will undertake a national search to identify and hire a successor to lead the Office of Immigrant Affairs on a permanent basis.
