Opportunity knocks and we want to make sure every student in Philadelphia who is thinking about college answers it, whether they think they need financial aid or not. It’s about planning for the future and keeping all of their options open.

The Mayor’s Office of Education is spreading the word about the 2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) (FAFSA) which is currently live! Completing the FAFSA is the first step towards economic opportunity – one of Mayor Parker’s priorities!

Why Complete FAFSA?

Completing FAFSA is the ticket to ANY kind of post-high school education, including workforce training and apprenticeship programs. By completing the application, you can be considered for federal, state and school financial aid.

Who should Complete the FAFSA?

  • Current and prospective students at colleges and career schools should ALL complete the FAFSA!
  • All students of all incomes should apply.
  • Even if you are not entirely sure if you plan to go to college or career school in 2025, you should STILL complete the FAFSA. You will have MORE OPTIONS as you figure out the best next step.

Where can I complete the application and get help?
