The Office of Human Resources is excited to announce the launch of our new Hiring Bus, a mobile recruitment center designed to bring job opportunities directly to the community. This innovative initiative aims to make the job application process more accessible and convenient for all Philadelphia residents.

Starting this summer, the Hiring Bus will be present at various community events throughout the city. Residents will have the chance to learn about open Civil Service positions, understand the application process, and even apply for jobs on-site. The Hiring Bus will be staffed by knowledgeable Human Resources professionals ready to assist with any questions and provide guidance to potential applicants.

Key Features of the Hiring Bus:

  1. Job Listings: Discover a wide range of open Civil Service positions within the City of Philadelphia.
  2. Application Assistance: Receive step-by-step guidance on the application process from our HR experts.
  3. On-Site Applications: Apply for jobs directly from the bus with our mobile application stations.
  4. Resume Reviews: Get your resume reviewed and polished by our HR team to increase your chances of success. (Dependent on staff availability!)
  5. Interview Preparation: Learn tips and techniques for acing your job interviews.

  • National Night Out on August 13, at the Fox Chase Playground (500 Rhawn St.)
  • Neighborhood Block Party on August 17, at 6400 Ogantz Ave
  • 35th Police District Unity Day on September 7, at 5500 N. Broad St. 
  • Airport Skilled Trades Fair on September 12, at the Philadelphia International Airport (8500 Essington Ave,)
