What are civil service jobs?
In Philadelphia, civil service positions cover various roles within the city’s government, ranging from administration to law enforcement and beyond. These positions are based on merit and offer stability, competitive pay, generous benefits and retirement plans. They also allow individuals to directly contribute to the betterment of the city.
OHR is partnering with the Free Library of Philadelphia and other local organizations to host civil service career information sessions at a wide variety of events throughout the month of August. These sessions provide insights into civil service positions, the application process, and career paths within local government. Whether you are a recent graduate, a professional seeking a change, or someone passionate about serving the community, these sessions are a valuable space to get more information and make connections!
This is not a standard job fair, but a general informational session about the civil service process. Bring your resume! Computers will be available for all who wish to apply for jobs along with any assistance needed.
