Temporary closure scheduled for Saturday, June 22, 2024

PHILADELPHIA – Northbound Lincoln Drive between Wissahickon Avenue and Ridge Avenue / Kelly Drive will be closed temporarily on Saturday, June 22, Department of Streets Commissioner Kristin Del Rossi, announced today. The following temporary closure is scheduled to be in effect from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday:

  • Northbound traffic will be blocked at all entrances to the south end of Lincoln Drive. No detour is provided for northbound traffic, due to the numerous entrances. Walnut Lane or Schoolhouse Lane are suggested detours.
  • Southbound traffic will not be affected.
  • Due to the volume of workers and equipment, pedestrian and bicycle traffic are also prohibited during this closure.

The temporary closure will allow City employees to safely complete various repairs along this winding stretch of road. This work has been scheduled for weekend hours in order to expedite repairs and minimize disruption to motorists, and provide the safest work environment for employees. Philadelphia Police Department assistance will be on site to help maintain a safe traffic flow in the area.

All work will be completed and traffic will be restored by 4:00 p.m.  For the duration of the work, Department of Streets crews will make every effort to minimize the inconvenience to affected drivers, residents, and businesses.  The Department of Streets thanks citizens in advance for their patience and cooperation during this project.
