For more than 60 years, the Fair Housing Commission (FHC) has resolved complaints of unfair rental practices and ensured safe and decent living conditions for Philadelphia’s rental community.

In 2022, Philadelphians voted to have it permanently enshrined in the Philadelphia Home Rule Charter. Despite the significance and importance of our work, we have not had an official logo.

Well, today is a new day. We are pleased to announce that the FHC has adopted a brand-new logo which we believe will help the public to better recognize the work of our office and connect to the protections we offer.

“The Fair Housing Commission’s new logo represents a continued commitment to Philadelphia. We will continue to protect and educate tenants know their rights and responsibilities,” said Kia Ghee, Executive Director of the Fair Housing Commission. “We hope the new logo will give us a greater presence.”

The FHC is not a court, but an administrative board. However, our Commissioners hold hearings and issue factual and legal findings as appropriate to remedy unfair rental practices or other violations of Philadelphia’s landlord-tenant laws.

There is no fee associated with filing a complaint with the FHC.
