The City of Philadelphia’s Office of Children and Families (OCF) seeks to engage community-based organizations in providing Case Management Services at nine Community Schools.
A new Request for Proposal (RFP) recently opened for interested organizations to apply to provide the services, which include supporting student attendance and ensuring household stability that allows the student to flourish and succeed.
The Community Schools where the services will be provided are:
- Alexander K. McClure
- Hamilton Disston
- John H. Webster
- Overbrook Educational Center
- Richard R. Wright
- Samuel Gompers
- George Washington
- Murrell Dobbins
- Kensington Health Sciences Academy
These services could include, but are not limited to:
- Identifying and removing barriers to regular school attendance
- Helping students and families address socioeconomic and health challenges
- Hosting family engagement forums and attendance events at schools
- Working with the Community School Coordinator to connect families and students to the school’s School Advisory Council, family events, and other school-led activities
- Supporting survey and needs assessment processes
Providers applying to this RFP should have demonstrated experience working in communities of high gun violence and should provide evidence in their application of how they would implement interventions to confront these challenges and partner with other neighborhood providers to support the school community.
A pre-proposal meeting will be held on May 17, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. EST. It is highly recommended that all proposers attend.
To ensure the City of Philadelphia maintains an open competition process, all inquiries regarding this RFP must be submitted via email to DHSRFP@phila.gov by May 24, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. The full Request is attached to this blog.
All proposals are due by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 10.
