You may be eligible to receive federal funding to implement physical security enhancements and activities your organization though the Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP), which is administered through the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA).

The purpose of the NSGP is to provide funding support for physical security enhancements and other security related activities while integrating preparedness activities of nonprofit organizations with state and local preparedness efforts.

This grant provides support to nonprofit organizations to improve protective actions by funding security planning along with training and exercises and contracting security guards. Other improvements to infrastructure through this program include the addition of access or entry controls, close circuit security cameras, security fences, gates, bollards, and external lighting.

FEMA is holding webinars to help you understand the 2024 NSGP process with interested non-profits. The virtual events run mid-October through December.
