If you are interested in reforming the Philadelphia criminal legal system and making sure that racial equity and authentic community engagement are at the forefront of reform, you should apply to join the Committee!
What is the CAC?
Founded in 2019, the Community Advisory Committee supports and contributes to the implementation of Philadelphia’s reform plan.
Committee members are committed to collaborating with criminal justice partner agencies to fulfill their commitment to:
- Reduce the size of the local jail population by 58 percent.
- Reduce racial, ethnic, and economic disparities in the criminal justice system.
- Enhance community safety.
If you are a Philadelphia resident, over the age of 18 years of age, with lived experience with the criminal legal system, we want to hear from you!
Members of the CAC hold City of Philadelphia criminal justice partners accountable for their commitments to a collaborative and data-driven reform effort. CAC members are encouraged to offer honest, on-the-ground input at decision-making tables with City officials.
