Join the Office of LGBT Affairs and community partners as we celebrate Pride. There will be many events to attend—both in-person and virtual—including the Office’s official Flag Raising event kicking off Pride season, and much more you won’t want to miss. All events listed below are free unless otherwise noted.


Celebrating Our Communities Flag Raising 

Friday, June 3 | 12 noon

On Friday, June 3 at noon, the Office of LGBT Affairs will host its annual Flag Raising Event at City Hall to kick off Pride season in Philadelphia. In addition to raising the iconic More Color, More Pride flag; this year’s program theme, Celebrating our Communities, will include speakers from across our LGBTQ+ community sharing the many ways we celebrate our pride.

Speakers will highlight their connection with upcoming community events throughout Pride month and beyond, including Disability Pride, Immigrant Heritage Month, the Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference, and more!

Following the speakers’ portion of the program, the More Color, More Pride flag will be raised by ceremonial flag-raisers comprised of new and veteran members of the Mayor’s Commission on LGBT Affairs.

The event will be live-streamed via the Office of LGBT Affairs’ Instagram account, and will feature ASL interpretation services. In-person attendees will also have access to Spanish-language interpretation services. Habrá servicios de interpretación en español durante el evento en persona.

 

City Skyline Building Light-ups 

Friday, June 3 – Tuesday, June 7| Sundown

Some of the city’s most iconic sites will show off their rainbow colors to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month, with Boathouse Row, FMC Tower, the Pennsylvania Convention Center, and more participating.

 

Police Advisory Commission Pride Panel 

Monday, June 6 | 6 p.m.

Join the Police Advisory Commission, Philadelphia Police Department, Greater Philadelphia Gay Officers Action League (GOAL) and the Office of LGBT Affairs for a candid conversation with LGBTQ+ officers as we celebrate diversity during Pride Month. Join the virtual event.

 

Disability Pride Philadelphia 

Monday, June 6 – Saturday, June 11

Disability Pride PA creates a FREE all-inclusive Parade and week-long Celebration June 6-11, 2022 for Philadelphia and the surrounding areas to “Celebrate our 10th Birthday.”

As you may know, Disability Pride PA is an organization committed to promoting visibility and mainstream awareness of the positive pride felt by people with disabilities within their communities. For more information about specific events, visit Disability Pride PA.

 

Philadelphia Family Pride Juneteenth Picnic 

Saturday, June 18 | 11 a.m.

Join Philadelphia Family Pride in Lovett Park for a Juneteenth picnic! This tobacco-free event will center and celebrate LGBTQ+ Black families, history, vendors, and artists with free food, entertainment, and resources! For more information, visit Philadelphia Family Pride.

 

Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference
