Our Equitable Community Engagement Toolkit team received an Operations Transformation Fund grant to expand our project team and focus on the writing, designing, and building of the Toolkit.
As part of this work, we recently onboarded two new fellows who sit within a partner agency (Office of Innovation and Technology) and are helping us with the design and build of the Toolkit within the Phila.gov digital ecosystem.
Our two new fellows are Nicholas Krapf and John Cajigas.
About Nicholas
Nicholas Krapf (he/they) is our user experience strategy fellow. They’ll ensure the Toolkit guidance, which will be available within the Phila.gov digital ecosystem, is accessible across devices, is designed in easy-to-navigate ways, and can be understood across several languages.
Nicholas is a trained user experience consultant native to the Philadelphia area. Having experience that spans industries and domains — from large enterprises in highly regulated industries to hyper-local organizations — Nicholas has co-created digital experiences as a holistic and participatory creative thinker. They studied industrial and interaction design at Syracuse University, and has collaborated with the Design Activist Institute, the Architecture Lobby, Philly Tenants Union, Toppled Monuments Project, Creative Resilience Collective, and the Design Justice Network.
Welcome, Nicholas!
About John
John Cajigas (he/him) is our software engineering fellow. He’ll ensure the online Toolkit aligns with the City’s digital development standards, is fully accessible, and can be effectively translated across languages.
John has been a technology professional for over ten years. He has worked in a variety of industries, including health care and education. John loves building modern web applications and bringing ideas to life. Originally from New York City, he now lives in Philly with his wife and dog.
Welcome, John!
