We are One Philly, A United City. And we’re ready to come together in the fight against litter and illegal dumping. Our new Mayor, Cherelle Parker—the 100th Mayor and the first woman to hold the office in our city’s history—needs your help to make this year’s Philly Spring Cleanup the biggest ever! Together, we can make our communities shine and Philadelphia the safest, cleanest, and greenest city in the nation.
We are excited to announce the 2024 Philly Spring Cleanup (PSC) will be on Saturday, April 6. So, think of projects, start getting excited, and spread the word to friends, family, and neighbors about the biggest Philly Spring Cleanup event yet. The web portal to sign up for projects for the event is now open.
The Street Department’s signature event has served as the City’s largest cleanup event taking place citywide in a single day. Residents can register a project — including park and neighborhood cleanups — or register as a volunteer for an existing project at phillyspringcleanup.com.
We’re out to put an end to litter and illegal dumping—not just on Cleanup day, but once and for all. The more residents like you that help us, the better. Let’s come together to make our neighborhoods and our city even more beautiful. Dedication like yours, along with the can-do attitude of thousands of volunteers all over the city, is exactly what we need to meet our goals. We cannot accomplish this without all our volunteers that help make our neighborhoods healthier and sustainable.
The Spring Cleanup will be a one-day event, from 9am-2pm, with a host of cleaning and beautification projects throughout the city. Our goals are to:
- 1,000 projects
- 5,000 volunteers
- Remove 1,000,0000 pounds of trash
- Remove 200 tires
- Remove 50 abandoned vehicles
- Remove graffiti from 200 locations
- Plant 50 trees
- Clean 25 vacant lots
- Clean 500 residential blocks
- Clean 20 commercial corridors
- Beautify 15 Recreation Centers
- Beautify 10 schools
In addition, we will help support your projects by directing volunteers to your sites, collecting trash and recyclables from your Cleanup and assisting you in planning your project.
We are now accepting project ideas and volunteer signups. Project registration closes on Friday, March 22.
Let’s keep working to make Philly green, clean and safe. See you at the 2024 Philly Spring Cleanup on Saturday, April 6.
