Health Department Offering Free Rapid At-Home COVID-19 Tests at Vaccine Clinics Through Christmas: In response to unprecedented levels of COVID-19 testing, and the associated delays, the Health Department is offering Philadelphia residents the opportunity to receive two free rapid at-home testing kits through Christmas. Delays associated with getting tests, and difficulty finding at-home testing kits is a nationwide problem that jurisdictions are struggling with. The testing kits that the Health Department is distributing at the nine previously scheduled pop-up vaccine clinics this week were purchased with CDC funds. For more information, including where the testing kits are being made available, see the Health Department’s latest blog post.
