Check out the bird watching events offered at Parks & Rec sites this month.
Beginner Bird Walks with the Andorra Library
When: December 3, 2021– 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Where: Wissahickon Valley Park, 300 West Northwestern Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118
Join JoAnne Woods for bird walks through the Andorra Natural Area. Walks geared towards adults interested in learning about bird watching and the resources that can be used. Presented in partnership with the Andorra branch of the Free Library. Adults only. Please bring a mask. Register at Event Brite one week before the program.
Morning Bird Walk at Pennypack Park
When: December 4, 2021 – 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Where: Pennypack Park Environmental Center, 8600 Verree Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19115

Pennypack Valley Christmas Bird Count
When: December 18, 2021 – 7:30 a.m. to 8 a.m.
Where: Pennypack Park Environmental Center, 8600 Verree Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19115

Winter Solstice Hike
When: December 21, 2021 – 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Where: Pennypack Park Environmental Center, 8600 Verree Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19115
Pennypack Park is hosting a hike to the Verree Road Meadows in celebration of the shortest day of the year. The Pennypack Environmental Center’s naturalist will lead the hike.
