Starting on April 16, all Philadelphians who meet the age requirements are eligible to get the vaccine. The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is currently authorized for individuals 16 years and above. The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are currently authorized for individuals 18 years and above.
The COVID-19 vaccine had previously been distributed in phases in Philadelphia. The phases were based on a person’s level of risk of acquiring infection, transmitting infection to vulnerable persons, or suffering severe consequences of infection.
