ESports have arrived at Parks & Rec! We are teaming up with Philly-based eSports leaders Nerd Street Gamers to give local teens some free, friendly competition. The Parks & Rec NBA2K21 Tournament is a city-wide egaming series.
Tournament details:
WHO & WHERE:
- Philadelphians aged 13 to 18.
- Players will:
- Represent their local recreation center.
- Compete from their own homes on their own consoles.
WHAT:
- There will be two tournaments:
- XBox: up to 128 players.
- PlayStation: up to 128 players.
- Participants can win cool prizes, including 76ers swag.
WHEN:
- The tournament begins on February 16 and runs through April 2.
- Games take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8 p.m.
HOW:
- Registration is free.
- Slots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Teens who don’t have a gaming console can benefit from a free three-month subscription to Nerd Street egames. There they can access any of Nerd Street’s free, PC-based tournaments.
