The Department of Revenue understands the COVID-19 health crisis impacted businesses in Philadelphia tremendously. In response, we’re releasing a new payment plan to support businesses that were in tax compliance before the pandemic struck.
If you needed a plan to get back on track with taxes, we’ve got one for you.
You can use this new agreement if you:
- Are struggling to pay business taxes due after March 1, 2020 and
- Do not owe taxes before that date.
The new payment agreement covers all business taxes. It does not require a down payment, and could excuse your business from paying ANY interest or penalties. If eligible, your business will have up to 12 months to pay. If you honor the agreement, you will not accrue any interest or penalties during that time.
Use our Business Recovery Payment Agreement Calculator to estimate what your monthly payments may be for the period of your agreement.
Other plans also available
Before applying, you must file any missing returns. Getting into an agreement will help you:
- Get current on your business taxes
- Apply for other City business financing and assistance programs
- Apply for new licenses and permits
Please note, the new Business Recovery Payment Agreement is for businesses that did not owe any taxes before COVID-19. If you are already on a payment agreement, you may be able to renegotiate its terms. But this will be done on a case-by-case basis.
You can also continue to use our standard or preferred business calculators for any taxes that were due before March 2020.
Remember, the new due date to pay Philadelphia Business Income & Receipts Tax, as well as Net Profits Tax was July 15.
