WHAT: Smoke alarm installation & Halloween safety tips

WHO: Fire Commissioner Adam K. Thiel

Members of Engine 13 and the Fire Prevention Division

American Red Cross

WHEN: Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 5 p.m.

WHERE: 1100 block of North Street (near 11th & Fairmount)

The Fire Department will close out Fire Prevention Month by installing smoke alarms and distributing safety literature on North Street. Commissioner Thiel will meet a homeowner who is receiving free smoke alarm installations; offer Halloween safety tips; and remind residents to check their smoke alarms when they change their clocks on Sunday.
